Hen’Pals Online Charity Auction

Taking Place: 31st MARCH 2017

Raising money for the British Hen Welfare Trust

Hello,

Our names are Gemma & Diane. We run a Facebook group called Hen’Palswith the help of our moderators Toni and Kris, which is a place where people come together and share their love and knowledge of poultry and help others.presentation2

In 2016 we set up and hosted 2 online charity auctions which helped raise over £1,500 for 3 different poultry charities.

Our aim for 2017 is to host 2 more charity auctions to help raise much needed funds for 2 or more poultry charities. Our first chosen charity of 2017 is the BHWT.

To do this we rely heavily on the kindness of others in both donations of items to auction and the those who bid for them.

Are you able to help by donating an item for us to auction on 31st March 2017?

Every donation helps and is very much appreciated by ourselves and the receiving charity. In return we will advertise you/your company in our Auction Catalogue, on our Facebook group and here on our blog, both before and after the auction takes place. You don’t have to be a business to donate something to auction, we have had many kind donations for the auctions given to us by our group members.

If you can help then please contact us via PM on Facebook or email gem.bavington@hotmail.com.

How does the auction work?

On the day of the auction (about 6am) the auction lot cards will be posted to our Hen’Pals Facebook group. Fro there you can bid on the item(s) of your choice via commenting your bid amount under the correct lot card. Just as you do in any auction, if someone bids higher than you and you wish to increase your bid then comment your next bid amount. The highest bidder at close of auction will win the auction item.

We will be adding a preview of the items in the auction as they are donated. You can find them HERE.
